Clallam County PUD Solar Energy Systems Incentives

Low-Interest Loan Program

In conjunction with First Federal Savings and Loan, Clallam County PUD offers residential and small commercial customers a low-interest loan program for energy efficient improvements and the purchase of photovoltaic and solar water heater systems. There is no application fee and Clallam County PUD covers the loan fee. A list of eligible measures for the loan program are located on the program website. A customer may use this loan program in conjunction with the equipment rebates that are also offered by Clallam County PUD. Loans are available for existing site built and manufactured homes and small commercial businesses served by Clallam County PUD. Interested customers should contact Clallam County PUD for more information on how to apply for the loan program.

INSPIRED Program

Under the INSPIRED  (In-State Production Incentive for Renewable Energy Development) Program, through 2014, residential, non-residential and governmental Clallam County PUD customers residing in WA with approved solar, wind and/or biomass energy production systems may receive incentives ranging from $0.12 - $0.54 per kilowatt hour (up to $2,000 annually), depending upon the type of system and state of manufacture. Program requirements include: 1) a customer-installed revenue grade production meter; 2) compliance with Program procedures and regulations; and 3) random auditing of generating systems and production meters.
