The Steps to Going Solar
line

Energy Use Profile - Sunergy Systems will evaluate a year's worth of your electric bills to create a profile of your annual energy needs. Each home is unique and each family uses energy in different ways. Energy usage is highly dependent upon the variable weather throughout the year. This information is used to analyze operational characteristics, calculate energy benchmarks for comparison to averages, estimate savings potential, set an energy reduction target, and establish a baseline to monitor the effectiveness of implemented measures.

Design - Sunergy Systems' electrical and civil engineers will design a system custom tailored to your home's energy needs. We can also order an energy audit of your home to see if there are opportunities to reduce your home's energy usage.

Proposal - A Sunergy Systems engineer will design four different size systems as customized options tailored for your alternative energy solution. Included in these proposal options are applicable rebates and incentives, financing options, net investment in solar, annual savings, and equipment specifications. These options will be presented during the site visit.

Site Visit - A Sunergy Systems associate will visit your home to assess solar panel layout, roof angle or ground space, and shading by trees or other buildings. A system design will be presented based on the customized goals discussed during the site visit and which will be mounted on your roof or ground space with minimal visual impact.

Incentive Payment Applications - The proposed system design agreement is signed. Sunergy Systems will submit the applications for all rebates and production incentives available.

Final approval - Sunergy Systems will prepare all the paperwork for utility and local permitting. The customer has final approval of the system design and how it will look on your property before construction begins.

Installation - Construction time depends on the size of the system - homes usually take less than a week to complete.

Inspections - Sunergy Systems schedules all building, electrical, and utility inspections.

Customer Care - Sunergy Systems delivers the customer care package, which includes as-built drawings, warranties, instructions, etc.

Follow Up - Maintenance of your company's solar system is virtually non-existent, because it contains no moving parts. It is simply a matter of keeping the PV panels free of excess dirt and debris. A solar PV system provides years of hassle-free service. Sunergy Systems' service department is always on call to support the ongoing operation of your solar system.
