Sustainability
How Sunergy Systems and our Staff promote a sustainable life!
Here at Sunergy Systems, we don't only install solar energy systems as our way of promoting a better, cleaner, and greener environment. We actively strive to preform additional responsible actions that can also have an impact on our planet.
AT THE OFFICE
We recycle all scrape materials; like copper wiring, unused metal railings, all paper, plastics, wood, cardboard, aluminum, and glass. We will start composting by the end of the month, through Waste Management, for leftover food and additional organic maters from work lunches, functions, and parties. At Sunergy Systems we continually attempt to be as environmentally conscious and active in all aspects of our work, to make as little of an impact on our city, state, and region. By implementing a very responsible recycling program, we feel we are making steps in the right direction and our staff is who makes it all happen. Without their involvement and responsible actions it never would be capable.
OUR STAFF’S LIVES

“I compost at my house and grow Organic fruits and vegetables in our garden. We are currently building a rainwater collection system and have plans of adding solar array to our home. We are using solar power to keep a battery charged to power my backyard water runoff sump pump system in the winter and run my backyard walkway and landscaping LED lighting all year. We have installed solar shades on west side of home to control passive heating in the summer and I removed all my grass in my backyard to reduce need for watering and replaced with more raised beds for growing organic vegetables and more fruit trees. I recently replaced our gas mower with an electric mower and will keep it charged with an expansion of my off grid solar system”

"We recycle every week and keep our vehicles carefully tuned for minimum fuel costs. We live in a rural area with forested acreage and use wood and solar heat for hot water and space heating. We burn dead and downed trees and branches and make it a point never to cut living trees. All of our paper, cardboard & scrap wood is efficiently burned for heat that reduces dependence on utility provided electricity. By means of a Solar powered, all terrain modified golf cart and a 36-volt electric chainsaw, we cut most of our firewood quietly and without fuel. We have solar panels for hot water and limited home heating (9 panels total). We maintain a Four Seasons greenhouse with miniature fruit trees and tomatoes. Our circulation fan for the greenhouse is powered by 20 watts of PV. We also have a second home in northern California. It has a grid connected Solar Electric system as well as an evacuated tube Solar Hot Water system. That home also has a Four Seasons Sunroom that is used for limited space heating as well as containing the best solar appliance, a retractable clothesline. Our energy projects are evolving. We are currently working on a geothermal heat pump to augment our wood heat. We are also preparing to build racking for an assortment of PV panels collected over the years. We have an electric motorcycle that is being upgraded to new batteries and an older camper used for family outings that has four PV panels and a 2000-watt inverter.”
