Howard Lamb is a nationally recognized expert and innovator in the field of solar energy with twenty years experience. While earning his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Florida's groundbreaking Electric Vehicle/Solar Energy Program, in 1994 Howard developed the first solar-powered charging station for electric vehicles in the United States. He continued his work in sustainability at Trace Engineering and the Advanced Batteries Lab for Electric Vehicles in Sacramento. Following a move to Seattle, Howard founded Household Power in 2005, which later became Sunergy Systems. Today, Howard continues to lead the company, guiding its rapid growth and keeping it positioned as a premier provider of residential and commercial solar energy installations. He also serves on Solar Washington's board of directors and is  considered one of the most knowledgeable and respected Solar Engineers on the West Coast.

Jon is our NABCEP Certified Solar PV Installer/Field Engineer and is also a valued member of Sunergy's Executive Management Team.  Jon heads the solar electric side of our company and is a SEI certified designer/installer/instructor of both photovoltaic systems and solar thermal systems. Jon has over 15 years of project management experience and has been in charge of installing over 200 PV systems - for both residential and commercial customers. Jon’s designs and layouts total over one “mega” watt of solar energy with system sizes ranging from 1.5 kW to 116 kW.  Jon has become one of the most experienced solar field engineers in the entire Puget Sound Region.

Following her success as a department manager with Lowe's, Melissa started at Sunergy Systems back in 2008 wanting to join a different kind of company and make a change - what a difference she's made.  She now serves on our Executive Management Team and as Administration Manager, she handles job scheduling, equipment ordering, utility applications, permits and everything in between.  Her organizational skills and accounting background are a real plus for Sunergy - she keeps things running smoothly for our customers and our employees.

Sheila joined Sunergy Systems in March of 2012, as our Marketing and Office Assistant. She graduated with her Master in Interior Design from London Metropolitan University. While attending school in London she worked for a small non-profit, Design Nation, promoting British Designers as the Online Marketing Coordinator, and began a marketing career. She is excited to be working in an industry and at a company that can really make a difference in the world.

Our Kitsap and Olympic Peninsula area representative, Greg has an extensive background in Solar Thermal, Photovoltaics, Hydroelectric and Windpower. He has an engineering degree and 27 years of energy design experience. With site design experience, Greg also advises solar siting and homesite development. Living with his own alternative energy systems and vehicles on a day to day basis, he also provides aerial site photography and rapid site consultations near small airstrips to meet customers' needs.

Chris started with Sunergy Systems as an apprentice in October of 2010 adding to our team over a decade of experience and a  passion for the renewable energy industry.  He has a Master Certificate in renewable energy with core studies in solar electricity, solar hot water and wind energy.  A vetran of the US Army with a degree in Electronics, Chris spent 28 years in sales and support for a local data collection manufacturer, Intermec and has further experience in quality assurance and sustaining engineering obtained from ten years with John Fluke Manufacturing.  A professional level member of Solar Washington and ASES, Chris' passion for the environment extends to his home where he enjoys maintaining an extensive organic produce garden with his wife.

Adam started his solar career with Sunergy Systems as a Solar Installer Intern in 2011 and then transitioned to being a Solar Design Consultant in 2012.  He has a BS in Geography - Environmental Resource Management from Texas State University.  He has a true passion for working in the solar energy industry after 7 years working as a Land Surveyor in Texas and Oregon.  Adam has helped install over 30 solar installations and is a graduate of Solar Energy International.

Chris has 25 yrs. experience designing solar homes in the Northwest. He also has extensive community involvement, such as: National Council of Building Designer (designer), American Lung Association (healthy house consultant/designer), Northwest Eco-Building Guild (founding member), Solar Washington (founding board member & past president), American Solar Energy Society (life member), Sustainable Edmonds (founding board member), Edmonds Solar Community Cooperative (President). His solar design education started at the University of New Mexico, and is ongoing today. He is a Solar Design Consultant, teaches, writes articles, and speaks on solar/green building as well as being the creator of the SnoPUD's Solar Express incentive program.

Steve is our NABCEPTM Certified Solar Thermal Installer/Installation Manager.  With over 10 years of experience in all facets of solar hot water - from project manager and lead installer - for both residential and commercial jobs, Steve has installed close to 150 Solar Hot Water and 300 Solar Pool Heating systems. Steve keeps our crews running safe and smooth, always following best roof top practices. Before embarking on his solar career, Steve utilized his background in pipefitting, welding, brazing and carpentry to include solar design. You can see Steve's very own solar installation here.

Carol’s diverse background includes 10 years in the electrical trades prior to joining Sunergy as an Electrical Journeywoman and our Electrical Administrator.  Her union background and level of experience provides Sunergy with solid electrical credentials and field work that's always done right and always surpasses inspection.  Seeking to make a difference, she joined our team on Earth Day 2009. Carol also has earned BA degrees in both Music and Art from James Madison University in Virginia.

Tim joined Sunergy Systems in 2010 as an Electrical Journeyman with over 27 years electrical experience and a get it done attitude. He also has his Electrical Administrator license. 20 years of his experience is in local service, which guarantees that the customer is in good hands when Tim is on job. He is familiar with local inspectors and permitting processes that facilitate the completion of the any job with ease. Sunergy Systems is not just a job to Tim he truly believes in doing what you can as an individual to make a better world for everyone!

Mike Wade, known around the office as Bigfoot, has worked in many different aspects of the electrical field before he joined Sunergy Systems in 2012. Mike brings a considerable background and experience level, which relates directly to his interest in solar electric. Growing up in the high country of South Eastern Wyoming in Laramie, he relocated to Seattle 22 years ago. He loves all types of fishing, makes compost tea from a huge worm bin and experiments with hydrogen electrolyzers.

Mike's solar install experience began in New Jersey back in 2005, installing grid-tied residential and commercial systems. For two years, he worked with many PV ground arrays as large as 100kw before coming to Sunergy Systems in May 2007. Mike has worked on 150 plus PV system installations and is our Lead PV installer, focused mainly on residential systems.  Michael has developed into a top notch lead and his experience shows in every job he does.

Jason joined Sunergy Systems in 2010, after moving up from the sunshine state of California. He has 6 years of solar experience installing both residential and commercial grid tied systems for SPG Solar, a large solar installer in California. At SPG Solar he worked as a lead installer as well as a design and permitting specialist. Jason has been a strong asset to the Sunergy Systems install team and has been a lead on many projects.

Eric began his solar career in April of 2012 when he joined Sunergy Systems.  He has an Associates degree in Electrical Engineering from Topeka Tech in Kansas and over 10 years of general construction experience. At Sunergy he has worked on approximately 56 solar electrics systems contributing over 225kW of our 2.5MW installed.  Eric is one of our best up and coming installers.

Alfonso teamed up with Sunergy Systems in February of 2013. While attending college in Southern California he worked for an industry leading solar company where he got his flare for the solar industry. He is a great addition to our amazing installation crew!
