Founder & Principle Engineer, MSEE

In 1992, Howard received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Lamar University and went on to earn his MSEE in the Electric Vehicle/Solar Energy Program at University of South Florida.  At USF, Howard was credited with developing the first electric vehicle solar powered charging station in the United States.  He later went on to work for Trace Engineering, the Advanced Batteries Lab for Electric Vehicles in Sacramento and Microsoft's Xbox Division.  In 2004, he founded Household Power, which later became Sunergy Systems. Today, Howard has engineered hundreds of systems, serves on the Board of Solar Washington and is recognized as one of the most knowledgeable and respected Solar Engineers on the West Coast.

Administration Manager
Following her success as a department manager with Lowe's, Melissa started at Sunergy Systems back in 2008 wanting to join a different kind of company and make a change - what a difference she's made.  She now serves on our Executive Management Team and as Administration Manager, she handles job scheduling, equipment ordering, utility applications, permits and everything in between.  Her organizational skills and accounting background are a real plus for Sunergy - she keeps things running smoothly for our customers and our employees.  


Jon Lange

NABCEP Certified Solar PV Installer™ Supervisor & Field Engineer
Jon is our NABCEP Certified Solar PV Installer/Field Engineer and is also a valued member of Sunergy's Executive Management Team.  Jon heads the solar electric side of our company and is a SEI certified designer/installer/instructor of both photovoltaic systems and solar thermal systems. Jon has over 15 years of project management experience and has been in charge of installing over 200 PV systems - for both residential and commercial customers. Jon’s designs and layouts total over one “mega” watt of solar energy with system sizes ranging from 1.5 kW to 116 kW.  Jon has become one of the most experienced solar field engineers in the entire Puget Sound Region.
